Zummo Z40 Nature Citrus Juicer Review
Share
When it comes to high output citrus juicers the Zummo Z40 Nature is one of the most popular brands on the market.
The Z40 Nature and the Zumex Speed are the two most popular options when it comes to high demand citrus juicers.
So how is the Zummo Z40? Is it worth the price?
Let's get into it.
Who is Zummo?
Zummo is a top-notch Spanish brand known for cranking out powerful, efficient commercial juicers, especially for citrus.
They’ve got this unique squeezing system that keeps the juice from touching the peel too much, so you get fresher, cleaner juice without that bitter aftertaste. Zummo machines are built for the hustle of busy cafes, restaurants, and juice bars—durable, easy to use, and designed to keep up with serious demand.
If you’re in the business of fresh juice, Zummo’s got the goods to keep you running smooth.
What Is A Zummo Z40 Nature?
The Zummo Z40 Nature is a citrus juicer that is made to handle high demand juicing needs.
This bad boy is able to juice 40 fruits per minute and it can juice all forms of citrus fruit including oranges, lemons, limes, grapefruits and even pomegranates.
This machine can be used as a countertop unit or it can be used on a cabinet which makes it more portable and you can also store the spent peels. This cabinet gives you a lot more storage room for peels than the bins do so this can be a big bonus to having the cabinet.
The Z40 Nature also has a large automatic hopper on top what holds 44 lbs of fruit so you don't have to reload it nearly as often.
There is also an option to get a larger basket that holds over 60 lbs of fruit so you load it up with even more fruit.
Any Negatives With The Zummo Z40 Nature?
In my experience with the Z40 there is one are that I would call a negative.
If you are using this machine for fruits other than oranges you might have some trouble. I have seen the Z40 try to juice limes and it wasn't pretty. They kept bouncing out of the cup or missing the cup and getting stuck, it wasn't good.
If you are planning on juicing a lot of limes or lemons I would go with the Zummo Z40 LM which is made specifically for juicing limes and lemons, although it can still juice oranges as well.
Also, if you plan on juicing a lot of pomegranates I would go with the Z40 Nature for Pomegranates. It is calibrated specifically for pomegranates which have tougher peels and inner fruit that other citrus fruit. This will give you a better yield and you will still have the ability to juice other citrus fruits.
You can juice a full variety of citrus fruits with the Z40 Nature but if you plan on juicing a large amount of lemons, limes or pomegranates you will probably want to consider getting the machine that is calibrated for those fruits.
Juice Quality With The Z40 Nature
The Z40 Nature really shines when it comes to juice quality and yield.
This is due to the EVS System they use that mimics hand squeezing.
That isn't really a big deal but what is a big deal is the fact that the juice never comes in contact with the outer peel.
This is important because the outer peel is very bitter tasting and it is also covered with pesticides which you don't want to be drinking.
You can also adjust how much the fruits get squeezed using washers so you can me sure to get literally every drop of juice out of each fruit.
When it comes to yield the Zummo machines can't be beat.
Cost Of The Z40 Nature
The cost of this machine can vary a bit depending on what options you get and if you get it with or without the cabinet. That said you are looking at about $7,000 to start with and the price goes up from there.
The most expensive model with the cabinet and everything will run you about $11,000.
Is The Zummo Z40 Nature Worth The Price?
If you have enough demand to keep the machine busy I would say it is worth it. It's a workhorse that can be run all day without blinking and can easily rake in those profits.
But if your demands aren't as high you might be better off going with a Zummo Z14 Nature or a Zumex Versatile. These machines are about $1,000 less than the Z40 nature and can still handle a pretty decent juicing demand.
Wrap Up
In the end, the Zummo Z40 Nature is a beast when it comes to high-demand citrus juicing.
With top-notch juice quality, serious durability, and features that make life easier for any busy operation, it’s built to keep up with the daily grind. Sure, it’s an investment, but if you’re cranking out juice all day, it’ll earn its keep.
For those with lower demand, the Zummo Z14 Nature or Zumex Versatile are solid alternatives that still deliver on performance without the same price tag. Bottom line: if you need a powerhouse for non-stop juicing, the Z40 Nature is worth every penny.
